Lima – Cusco. B.
The Sacred Valley of the Incas. B, L.
This valley was the agricultural key to the Incas, for the agreeable climate and fertile plains in the high Andes. In this 60 km length area you will know the archaeological ruins of Pisaq and its touristal market. After lunch, the tour will visit the nice archaeological site of Ollantaytambo with its impressive temples and palaces from Inca times. After the tour, you’ll be left close of the train station of the town and at the adequate time, you’ll take the train to Machu Picchu town. Transfer and overnight at your selected hotel.
Machu Picchu. B, L
Day exclusively to the visit of the lost city of the Incas or Machu Picchu. There the guide of the company will take us of the town up by bus to the ruins in 25 minutes for the guided tour (more than 2 hours). Lunch at the town and return in the afternoon, getting Cusco at night. Overnight at your selected hotel in Cusco.
Cusco – Puno. B. L.
This is basically a traveling day in bus. You will need to empty the rooms, taking your valuables and luggage with you. This ride along pretty scenery will take 10 hours approximately. On the route we will meet a colonial humble church with impressive murals and paintings belonging to local artisans in colonial times, it is called the Sistine chapel of South America. The next stop will be the town of Raqchi to visit the Wiracocha Temple (one of the many Inca gods). Before to get Puno, we’ll visit the museum of Pucara pre-inca culture; the museum displays a nice collection of preinca and Inca lithic objects. We’ll reach Puno around 5 pm. overnight at your selected hotel in Puno.
Uros and Taquile Islands. B. L.
Our visit today will be the Uros floating island in our speedboat, islands where the inhabitants still are weaving handicrafts to offer us. You can also go between two islands on a reed boat at an extra cost. The tour still is going to take us to Taquile Island where we are going to have a delicious local lunch, in this place the local people will tell us their history, showing us part of their tradition. A short hike will be nice as a complement of our visit. In the afternoon, back to Puno’s hotel.
Puno – Sillustani Funerary Towers – Chivay. B. Box Lunch.
Today we are leaving Puno in direction to the Sillustani Archaeological complex, where we are going to learn a lot about the funerary towers of the Inca and Qolla cultures in Sillustani Archaological complex. Afterwards, we’ll cross nice mountains in the Andes to Chivay, colonial town where we are going to sleep.
Chilca and Arequipa. B, L.
Today we’ll get Cruz del Condor, where with a lot of lucky, we’ll see many condor flying around. The complement will be the nice landscape of the area and the visit of local towns with nice kind of traditions. Late in the afternoon, we’ll get the comfortable Arequipa’s hotel.
Arequipa. B.
Today we’ll explore the colonial “White City” of Arequipa, a must see is the Santa Catalina Convent (place where Dominican nouns still are living), the church and convent of the Company of Jesus, the famous mummies at the Juanita Museum and the lookout of Yanahuara, a special place where are seen the 3 volcanoes or protectors of the city. Overnight at your selected hotel in Arequipa.
Arequipa – Lima. B.
Transfer to Arequipa’s airport to fly to Lima, where you will connect the international flight back home. End of our services.
